6 teambuilding activities in the spotlight – Meet in Ostend

Ostend has a very wide and diverse range of teambuilding activities on offer. Thanks to the good cooperation with various partners, Meet in Ostend can offer something for everyone. We hereby highlight 6 teambuilding activities.

Fort Labyrinth (by The Outsider Coast)

Take part in this life-like party game with your team at a top location! ‘The Labyrinth’ takes you through the secret passages of the Fort. Through thinkers, ‘mystery solvers’ and groundbreaking assignments, you must work your way out of the maze. Each team is given a number of assignments to complete throughout the Fort Napoleon maze. Knowledge, skill, sportsmanship, daring and luck are the factors needed to play this real-life party game perfectly.

Welcome To The Mole (by Ecco La Luna)

La Talpa is a concept in which each player is dragged into a story where no one can be trusted. The participants are divided into groups and those groups then compete against each other. A few people play double game: they try to sabotage the missions unnoticed. But in the end, this remains a team-building game and you try to win as a group. However, it is still a strange idea that you have to carry out assignments as a group, where cooperation is hugely important to achieve success but knowing that someone within the group will do everything possible to prevent it!

North Sea Cruise Wind Farm (by Captain Blue)

During the 5-hour cruise, a Dutch-speaking guide will immerse you from coastal navigation and port signalling, to various buoys and beacons, to marine bird and marine mammal exploration to crossing the international shipping lane. Relax and enjoy the healthy sea air. The end point is the wind farm on Thorntonbank, some 30km off the coastline. A unique experience!

If a 5-hour trip seems too long for you, you can also visit the windmills at sea by speedboat. With a speedboat, you will experience real adrenaline and the trip takes 2 hours.

ClimateGame (by Perfect+ Event Productions)

An eco-team building that combines fun with effective knowledge building. Not a casual city game, but a unique and interactive mix of team learning and team event. During the ClimateGame, you become aware as a group that terms such as global warming, renewable energy, climate agreements and targets are not a distant memory. On the contrary, the unique premise is that at the office (and at home), together with colleagues, you can do more than you think. Moreover, for every team that participates in this team building, a tree is planted. Perfect+ planted 215 trees in this way last year and hopes to do even better this year.

City Challenge (by Geoteam)

The City Challenge is not a boring city walk, but an interactive and challenging voyage of discovery through Ostend! Armed with a smartphone and a GPS receiver, you set off in teams in search of different locations. You will not only visit Ostend’s most famous spots, but your attention will also be drawn to lesser-known locations or elements in the city. Cooperation in your team is necessary to solve our multimedia riddles and challenging assignments. Bonus assignments also surprisingly yield extra points! But keep an eye on the ranking, because the other teams are hot on your heels! The photo album you will receive afterwards will be a nice reminder of your successful team activity!

Crystal Ship Rally (by Event Mosaic)

‘The Crystal Ship’, is a contemporary art festival in the middle of the seaside town of Ostend. More than 40 artists from all over the world created giant murals and hip works of art in the city. During this artistic “trophy”, a course through the most beautiful graffiti artworks of the Crystal Ship in Ostend will be completed by bicycle or electric golf carts.

The participants are divided into a number of teams, each of which is given a city map, a questionnaire and an answer card. The aim, of course, is to solve the questions as correctly as possible as well as to discover the artworks on photo in the street scene and indicate their location on the map.
