Info session on Tuesday 13 September : Call for projects “Support for the digitisation of conference rooms in the tourism sector”.
The Brussels Capital Region will launch a call for projects on 15 September to support, through the ERDF, the revival of business tourism.
This call aims to support investments by Brussels operators in the MICE sector who wish to adapt their conference rooms to these “hybrid” times.
Due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus, the Brussels business tourism sector must now learn to cope with an evolved demand on the conference market. Conference-goers nowadays demand to be able to attend conferences physically on site or from a distance.
Today, in order to continue to organise these conferences in the centre of our capital, it is necessary to make it possible to attend them elsewhere, which sometimes requires considerable investment from operators in the sector. This call for projects will help them with these investments.
The ERDF programme will therefore support (up to 50% of the total budget) these new equipments, up to:
- 000 Euros in subsidies (covering half of all investment costs), for venues with a seating capacity of 50-249
- 000 Euros in subsidies (representing half of all investment costs) for halls with a seating capacity of 250-499.
- 000 Euros in subsidies (representing half of the total investment cost) for halls with a seating capacity of 500-1999 seats
- 000 Euros in subsidies (representing half of all investment costs) for venues with a seating capacity of 1,000 or more.
On Tuesday, 13 September, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the ERDF Directorate will organise an online information session about this call for proposals.
