The Belgian insurance sector is cautiously rebounding after the Covid crisis and its impact on the global economy. According to a first estimate, the general collection will amount to 30.1 billion euros in 2021, an increase of 5.6% compared to last year. This is according to the annual report of Assuralia, the professional federation of insurance companies. In its report for the past year, the federation mainly looks ahead and focuses on the cooperation with the government in order to sustainably cope with systemic risks such as natural disasters in the interest of every customer.
