Souschef Tom Vandevelde and Vinologist join forces.
For more than 15 years, Tom Vandervelde and Chef Stefaan Van Asshe have been at the helm of the kitchen team at Dennenhof.
After the success formula of the so-called Duplex Suite Menu Deluxe during the Corona period, these two have come up with a new gastronomic event.
Experience a 5-course dinner in a different way in the company of 8 degustation wines!
In collaboration with vinologist, Wim Van Doninck of Mon Vin, who will immerse you in the magic of wine.
Five delicious dishes led by Tom combined with 8 delicious wines with their story honoured by Wim.
“Apart from delicious food, we explore guests’ preferences” says Tom. “We taste the wines separately, then together with the dish. We give you tips on which wine (style) goes best with ingredient X or Y. We think about whether the main ingredient is the most important with the wine or whether we should take into account, for example, that dash of spicy sauce on the plate?” completed Wim.
“In other words an evening of real taste experience where we make you smell and taste more consciously. This makes you discover scents, flavours and wines that you might not have thought were
those were something for you. In addition – without wanting to be schools – some theory and interesting relevant stories and facts left and right,” says the vinologist.
