Since 2017, Chef Jean-Luc Daniel and BluePoint Liege have been working hand in hand to bring companies and individual guests culinary and convivial moments: banquets, business lunches and walking dinners, … Nothing escapes the creativity of the chef, who was recently praised by Gault & Millau for the restaurant Le Cabochon. Do you already know him from TV? Here’s a glimpse of what he can offer you, in real life.
Rediscover authentic flavours
Many know Jean-Luc Daniel from the TV programme “Mission Cuisine” on RTBF, a programme in which he takes on a daily culinary challenge for individuals in their homes. Through his simple recipes, one discovers an art of living and a philosophy fundamentally based on the taste and quality of products. BluePoint Liege has been fortunate to work with this chef since October 2017. In our venue, he is working on a very different challenge: offering a high-level culinary experience in this a business context. Jean-Luc Daniel: “My challenge is to be able to offer a gastronomic service adapted to the needs of business and events. Customers are served quickly and efficiently and receive generous and refined dishes on their plates based on seasonal ingredients and as many local products as possible. This requires very good organisation in the kitchen and great flexibility.”
Accessible gastronomy adapted to events
The BluePoint Liege conference centre has a large event space for up to 400 people. A capacity that lends itself to a wide variety of events, including walking dinners, buffets, gala dinners and tastings…. A flexibility that in no way comes at the expense of the quality of service BluePoint aims to provide, according to Benoit De Smedt, Site Manager at BluePoint Liege: “Our versatile team can combine 3 different catering activities: the business restaurant, a self-service for our tenants and all kinds of banquets in our convention centre. Whatever the formula, our staff does not compromise on the quality you can expect from a gourmet establishment.”
Recognition by Gault & Millau and enthusiastic guests
The establishment was recently included in the prestigious Gault & Millau with an honourable 13/20, rewarding the culinary experience. It is also among the 20 best-rated restaurants in Liège. This recognition from this gastronomy guide, is only confirmed by individual guests’ ratings, says Benoit De Smedt: “Le Cabochon’s rating peaks at 4.9 out of 5 based on 500 reviews on Tablebooker. On Eventplanner, BluePoint Liege even gets a 10/10. We are very proud of these extremely positive reviews and references. They encourage us to maintain our high standards.” Jean-Luc Daniel: “It is obviously very satisfying, even though the race for the stars is not my main priority. The main goal for me is to give all our customers a moment of culinary pleasure, by giving the best of ourselves.”
