PRG (Production Resource Group) is not only a technology provider for the biggest music tours in the world (such as Coldplay, Stromae & Nick Cave, among others) but also a mainstay for Belgian emerging musical talent. By giving young artists a spot on the PRG WAREHOUSE SESSIONS, a much-discussed series of concert videos, we give them the chance to position themselves in the Belgian music landscape in a highly professional way.
Supporting young bands on their way to success is an important part of the PRG identity. Several artists from the first PRG WAREHOUSE SESSIONS, which came out in spring 2022 and can still be seen on our Youtube channel, have already put their experience gained to good use in the meantime. For instance, Isaac Roux recently became one of the winners of The New Lichting 2023 and ILA and Ramkot can regularly be found on The Settlement.
Second series since 1 March with 9 artists
This year, no fewer than 9 promising artists from a variety of genres passed through the PRG warehouse in Tildonk. The result are 9 atmospheric videos in which their performances are interspersed with an exclusive interview. Last week Pitou was the first to do so: her PRG WAREHOUSE SESSION with the beautiful songs Big Tear, Angel and Dancer appeared on our Youtube channel. In the coming weeks, we will release the other artists, all to be followed on PRG’s social media channels.
They got the chance to record a live showcase, supported by PRG’s high-end equipment & professional surrounds:
PITOU: an Amsterdam-based Dutchwoman who already has a European tour, shows at Paradiso & AB and festivals like Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter behind her. Her music is soft and magically nuanced.https://www.pitoumusic.com
MELTHEADS: Their music is characterised by energy, attitude, charisma and talent. In 2022, they already reached a final place in De Nieuwe Lichting, second place at Humo’s Rockrally, and their song Naïef was at 1 in The Settlement. https://vi.be/platform/meltheads
THE CHRISTIAN CLUB: a – funnily enough far from Christian – alternative band from Bruges that performs dark singer-songwriter music. We are already impressed by their talent for setting atmosphere and frontman Luca Missiaen’s expressive voice.https://vi.be/platform/thechristianclub
PORCELAIN ID: the singer-songwriter project of Hubert Tuyishime, who sings in both Dutch and English in an extremely inspired way. Vulnerable, sincere and larger than life are all words that describe Porcelain ID, but equally talented and an icon in the making.https://vi.be/platform/porcelainid
ICTO: ICTO was one of the finalists of De Nieuwe Lichting 2019 and has since evolved even further as an artist. Studio Brussels once described her as a patriotic Cardi B. https://vi.be/platform/ictomusic
ZEDIAM: this rapper from Mechelen once earned his stripes with Soul’art, the trilingual hip-hop collective signed to Top Notch. He charmed us with his singles Sense, and Spirit of David, two songs overflowing with symbolism and enthusiasm. https://vi.be/platform/zediam
EMILINE: Her work is catchy, danceable and highly stylised, and has previously been picked up by Radio 2 and NRJ. Her single Brain was also nominated for Summer Hit 2022. https://vi.be/platform/emiline
BLACK LEATHER JACKET: A no-nonsense garage rock band from Antwerp. They became a finalist in De Nieuwe Lichting in 2017 and have a pretty strong live reputation. Their music consists of rock-hard riffs, solid drums and memorable melodies. https://vi.be/platform/blackleatherjacket
PILKINGTON UNITED: Their songs are catchy, their lyrics absurd, their performances mostly improvised and their outfits unbeatably tight. Not surprisingly, this hip-hop and comedy trio has previously played support act to Gestapo Knallmuzik.https://www.instagram.com/pilkington.united Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
