From 17 to 20 May, Mechelen will host the 39th edition of the National Games for athletes with intellectual disabilities. More than 3,500 athletes – in some 20 sports disciplines – will give their best there during the Ascension weekend. Event Masters is delighted to contribute to this event by organising the opening ceremony.
The hottest National Games ever
It is the ambition of the City of Mechelen, Special Olympics and all actors to make this edition the warmest Games ever. “As co-organiser of the National Games, we at Event Masters are proud to do our bit to promote sustainable integration of people with intellectual disabilities. Opening ceremony to be followed live
On 17 May, the face of these Games Maarten Poels will kick off the opening ceremony by lighting the flame in the KV Mechelen Stadium. What will then follow is a sparkling ceremony with a very beautiful and surprising line-up to give the athletes a warm welcome. We expect 13 000 spectators during the spectacle. The ceremony will also be live on national television.
