HARPO recently made itself heard again, literally, at Antwerp Expo.
Easyfairs once again organised the ‘Transport & Logistics’ trade fair there for the fortieth time.
On the occasion of the official opening, MoC Harry van Hest first introduced Nadine Francus who, as hostess on behalf of Easyfairs, warmly welcomed everyone.
Then it was the turn of Port Alderman Annick De Ridder who officially declared the fair open, after giving a fascinating speech on the efforts being made to promote climate neutrality and circular economy in the port of Antwerp.
Following this, Harry van Harpo, invited Fred Niemans chairman of WTC-Antwerp as fellow moderator, together with the 4 panellists (Thierry Vanelslander Prof UA, Catrien Scheers CEO Fast Lines Belgium, Lieven Van Nuffel Software Solution Expert simac PHI DATA , Pierre Deraedt Dir.Public Affairs Philip Morriis Int.), who would hold a lively debate on Green Logistics & Supply Chain.
It became an engaging and infectious event, which could not be otherwise with the four smartly selected business people on the panel.
The interaction with the room betrayed that the audience had been listening attentively and that the environment and sustainability is close to the hearts of many.
So it was a fascinating event that Easyfairs and co-organiser KMO Insider will certainly follow up on.
