The city was awarded the ‘Destination innovante et durable’ label in 2022 and the Office du tourisme, des loisirs et des congrès obtained ISO 20121 certification. The Bureau des Congrès Aix-Marseille Provence supports and encourages industry professionals to achieve labels such as Ecotable or Clef Verte. Moreover, Marseille has the highest percentage of certified hotels in France (relative to the number of hotels): 33% of hotels (compared to 3% in Paris) and 70% of 4-star and 5-star hotels are certified. Several new hotels were recently added to the city and region’s excellent hotel offer.
