Last Saturday, WP Hotels & Events in Blankenberge experienced a particularly successful day, with three sold-out shows in one day, eight fully booked hotels and a disco that reached its maximum capacity. Managers Ben Van den Keybus and Marc Coucke speak of the busiest and most successful weekend in the history of WP Events, a new milestone for the group. The Witte Paard was even sold out twice on Saturday. The afternoon show ‘Younger than you think’ attracted a large audience, while the evening show ‘Hot Summer Night’ also ensured full houses. Both performances created a festive atmosphere and much enthusiasm among the audience. At the same time, Willy Sommers celebrated his birthday at the Casino of Blankenberge, where he performed in front of a sold-out theatre. The audience sang along with well-known songs such as “Let the sun into your heart” and “Seven carnations, seven roses”. At Discotheque Colisee Live on Saturday, visitors had to wait to enter even during the busiest moments. Geert Hoste, chairman of WP Hotels and Events: ‘The combination of live performances and DJs shows its success with theatre audiences, day-trippers and hotel guests alike. WP Hotels & Events’ eight hotels, including Aazaert, Saint-Sauveur and Cavalli, were fully booked. The summer of The White Horse, which has been operating since 1936, thus reached a provisional record’.
