Lady Chef of the year is a competition that has been organized since 1991. It is an award for excellence, innovation, and leadership of a female chef in the Belgian culinary scene.
This prize is awarded annually by an academy of fellow chefs, reviewers and foodies. It is a prestigious gastronomic award in Belgium.
On October 14, the 2025 laureate was presented from 5 nominees. The more than 120 guests from the finest of Belgian gastronomy were spoiled with a gala dinner at Forum 6, cooked with care and passion by laureate Lize Willems from restaurant Ma Marraine in Tongeren, who at the end of the evening was named Lady Chef of the year was crowned.
The Lady Chef of the year was supported in the kitchen by students from Spermalie and could count on logistical support in the kitchen and the venue by preferential caterer D’s Deldycke.
The audience award went to Slava Tcherbak.
