Premiere of ‘Winter Wonderland’ in Het Witte Paard: Sasha & Davy shine ‘Happy Together’ in their own variety show

Friday 13 December was a lucky day for those present at a sold-out Het Witte Paard in Blankenberge. The legendary variety theatre celebrated the premiere of ‘Winter Wonderland’. The tastemakers in the second edition of the winter revue are Sasha Rosen and Davy Gilles. The cast is supplemented by the voices of Maarten Cox, Anke Goergen and Lissa Lewis, four international acrobatic acts, and the dancers of the Vegas Showdancers are also present. A heart-warming cocktail of spectacle and ambiance, which you can still see until 19 January.

The reactions are unanimously positive. “It is impressive what is being put down here,” says Romeo’s colleague actor and singer Chris Van Tongelen. “I already had high expectations, but they are even exceeded. Sasha & Davy are top, but the entire show is bursting with energy and atmosphere”. Singer Margriet Hermans adds: “The repertoire is very beautiful, with music for young and old. For me, it is partly nostalgia, and partly new discoveries, brought by top voices. It is really recommended”.

Davy Gilles gets energy from this show: “Before the start tonight I had some healthy nerves. Our own love story is central to a show that combines singing, dancing and sketches. The audience immediately gave us wings. After the show, everyone left the theatre with a big smile, and that is the ultimate goal of Het Witte Paard”.

Producer Ben Van den Keybus is a satisfied man: “A show full of variety, full of swing, full of atmosphere, carried by the fantastic couple Sasha & Davy. This is Het Witte Paard at its best. After the enthusiasm of the audience during the try-out, the reactions tonight are an extra confirmation: this show is a bull’s eye. I am proud of the entire team and I am sure that anyone who comes to see it will be impressed.”

There are still performances, both in the afternoon and in the evening, until 19 January in Het Witte Paard in Blankenberge. Tickets are available via witte-paard.be, via 070 250 200 and at the counter of WP Hotel Aazaert (Hoogstraat 25, Blankenberge).
