Landcommanderij Alden Biesen again in top conference venues in Belgium

During yesterday’s presentation of the ‘MEETINGS® Awards’ in Ede, the Netherlands, Alden Biesen was once again awarded the silver medal in the category ‘Best Conference Venue in Belgium’.

The awards are organised annually by the leading trade magazine MEETINGS®: the largest trade magazine for business meetings in the Benelux for more than 35 years. In total, Alden Biesen has already won gold four times and silver twice. Besides Alden Biesen, Center Parcs Meetings & Events De Vossemeren and the Leuven Faculty Club completed the podium places for Belgium.

Alden Biesen stands out for its unique combination of culture, heritage and professional business facilities. The site offers an exceptional setting for conferences, seminars and workshops. This strong brand story, which appeals to both cultural and business audiences, ensures that Alden Biesen is stronger than ever.

‘Our modern infrastructure in a heritage setting, with a strong focus on experience, makes Alden Biesen a unique destination,’ confirms Bart Van Gheel, event and conference operations manager.

Record year for Alden Biesen

In terms of visitor numbers, 2024 was a record year for the Landcommanderij. Moreover, important investments were made, such as the installation of a modular grandstand, the integration of hybrid meeting systems and the redesign of several halls.

‘With an increase of 27% to 260,000 visitors, Alden Biesen strengthens its position as a cultural and business attraction,’ says Patrick Cornelissen, general director. ‘This recognition is a great motivation for the entire Alden Biesen team.’

Looking to the future

In addition to this recognition, Alden Biesen is looking to the future with ambition.
