When you think of Mallorca you think of the beautiful beaches, the good weather, mass tourism. This is absolutely true. But when it comes to mass tourism, there is actually mainly in July and August.
The rest of the year there is no mass tourism and especially in the months October to April, the island comes to rest.
It is during these months that this destination is the ideal international destination for corporate events, team building, congresses and incentives.
We have communicated in the past about beautiful hotels and their meeting facilities on this island. Since April 2017 Mallorca owns a phenomenal congress hall.
Located in the bay of Palma, opposite the cathedral and overlooking the beach of Ca’n Pere Antoni, is the congress center and the adjacent 4 star hotel of the Melía hotel group. The congress centre has a main auditorium, which can be divided into two, with a capacity for 1,978 people, and a second smaller auditorium for up to 462 people, equipped with the latest audiovisual technology.
The exhibition rooms are located on the ground floor. The available space of 2,340 m2 is divided between the ground floor with 1,640 m2 and the first floor with 700 m2. The multifunctional meeting rooms of the centre are located on the third floor and cover an area of 320 m2, each of which can be divided into a total of 8 completely separate rooms.
In addition to the main meeting rooms, there are 3 smaller commission rooms, ranging from 60 to 150 m2, and a VIP area of 87 m2 with all appropriate services. The basement houses a parking space with 282 places.
The congress hall and adjoining hotel are built on the site of the former city wall and the buildings follow that line. On the outside, special materials have been used which, despite the many gigantic windows, ensure that a pleasant temperature is maintained inside. Inside, special wood from Mallorca itself has been used.
At 15 minutes from the airport and within walking distance of the beach and the historic city of Palma, this is the operating base for meetings, events and congresses.
