After a few months of interruption and partial opening, new perspectives are being offered.
From the first of May the hotel “Les Sorbiers” will be open every day, weekdays and weekends. For a few more days, with meals in the room or in a private lounge.
From 8 May, it will be possible to have meals on the terrace of the restaurant “En Face de L’île”. Guests will have the choice between an open or covered area. In both cases all guests will have a view of the banks of the Meuse and all this in strict compliance with the sanitary conditions in force.
Some more good news.
- The “Commissariat Général au Tourisme” has awarded the Hotel des Sorbiers 3 stars. The commissioners took into consideration their philosophy of a “hôtel à lire” to grant these 3 stars even if the rooms are not equipped with television (condition for obtaining the 3 stars). This makes the Sorbiers one of the few Belgian hotels with 3 stars, but without TV in the rooms.
- Chef Nicolas Valanchon is working on a new menu as well as suggestions for lunch and dinner that will perfectly match the spirit of a meal on the terrace. The goal is to offer more flavour and variety.
- New activities are set up in the area (water activities, yoga, art workshops, visits to the island,…) and the partnership with remarkable and nearby sites is developed. You will be informed in the week prior to your reservation of the activities organised on the site and the team is at your disposal to advise you on visits and walks in the region.
- The estate is also available for outside receptions for up to 50 people.
- The next challenge, eco-labelling: they are now engaged in a process of ecological transformation. More information coming soon!
