The Hotel Van der Valk Luxembourg in Arlon officially celebrates its 5th anniversary on 26 January 2023, but not only that. A biomethanisation plant, new rooms, a wellness and fitness area, an indoor surfing pool and a new restaurant are on the agenda for 2023 and the years to come! Work will begin in mid-2023 with:
- Biogas plant: towards energy autonomy! In partnership with the Pastoret family’s local farm, organic waste will be recovered and transformed into electricity and heating for the entire hotel complex! Work is already underway.
- Solar panels: a carport equipped with solar panels will cover the existing car park, allowing electric vehicles to be recharged.
- 56 new rooms: to meet the demand and needs of our guests. 56 new rooms will be created, family rooms, but also adapted to groups for seminars or large-scale events!
- Wellness and fitness area: indoor and outdoor swimming pool, hammam, jacuzzi, massage areas… a real wellness centre in the region.
- City Wave: indoor pool dedicated to surfing with the Citywave system of endless artificial waves. From beginners to professionals, the practice is supervised, fun and unique in the region! The facility will be accessible to all.
- Plant-based restaurant: healthy dishes based on vegetables and plants… always with a view to preserving the environment.
These new facilities will be officially presented at a press conference on Thursday 26 January 2023 at 3pm at the Van der Valk Hotel in Luxembourg, in the presence of Minister Willy Borsus, the Mayor of Arlon Vincent Magnus, and the partners involved in the various projects.
