The Meet in Flanders Academy, MiFA for short, is an organisation of Tourism Flanders and EventFlanders and has been a fixture on the event calendar in Flanders for several years. With the MiFA, the organisers want to connect and inspire professionals from the Flemish conference and event sector. The Academy also offers a unique platform for networking and sharing knowledge. For its 12th edition already this year, it will stop at the Concertgebouw in Bruges on Thursday 5 December 2024. Last year’s MiFA was about ecological sustainability of events and conferences. This year, they zoom in on the social aspects and talk about accessible and inclusive events. What is meant by the terms accessibility, inclusiveness and diversity? How can you comfortably talk about them? What are the infrastructural and non-infrastructural challenges and how can you overcome them? How do you make your communication more inclusive? These are just a few questions that will be addressed during this MiFA, together with fascinating speakers from home and abroad.
