Since 1 February, a new car park with 92 new parking spaces has been created next to Tivoli Castle in Mechelen. This car park is accessible via the Eikestraat. Behind the building of Thiry Paints, the city has constructed a completely new parking lot with permeable material. New trees have been planted and grassy areas with picnic benches have been created.
This is very interesting for the many professional guests who come to the castle for various events such as staff parties, conferences, seminars or meetings. The public car park can also be used free of charge.
Furthermore, a brand-new bridge for cyclists and walkers has been built over the Vrouwvliet. This will provide a direct bicycle connection from the city centre to Tivolipark, as well as to the new Sint-Maarten hospital.
When clients of Tivoli Castle park their cars on the new car park, they can cross the Vrouwvliet via the footbridge and arrive at the castle.
Kasteel Tivoli is also very easy to reach. Its strategic location just outside the city centre and close to the E19 and R6 motorways is a real asset!
