Coeur Catering proudly received the ‘Sustainability Award’ at the Event Catering Awards 2024 by Gault&Millau Belux, a wonderful recognition for their long-standing commitment to sustainability.

For many years, sustainability at Coeur Catering has not been an empty promise, but an integral part of their DNA. Since the launch of their E-Coeur future-proofing plan in 2018, all decisions are viewed through a sustainable lens. This plan has a 360° approach where sustainability is integrated into all aspects of operations and is carried and adjusted by all employees.

Their sustainable approach includes obvious measures, such as using local, organic seasonal products, serving daily fresh fish through ‘NorthSeaChefs’, offering wines from mainland Europe, homemade sugar-free soft drinks and a menu with at least 50% vegetarian dishes, generating their own electricity needs through solar panels. In addition, Coeur Catering engages both customers and employees in their mission and strengthens their social impact by supporting charities and working closely with local social impact enterprises.

As it is impossible to completely avoid all environmental impacts, Coeur Catering works with Go Forest, an organisation fighting climate change by planting food forests, promoting biodiversity and combating deforestation. Together, they aim to plant at least 20,000 trees by 2030. During customer events, they replace the traditional goodie bag by bringing along saplings, thus promoting sustainability in a tangible and concrete way.
