The Docks, the new convention centre to discover for meetings and events in Antwerp
Crowne Plaza Antwerp is pleased to announce the reopening of its completely renovated convention centre ‘The Docks’. In collaboration with interior designer Raiar, this transformation redefines the standards for conference facilities in Antwerp. The meeting rooms on the 16th floor have also been modernised and offer spectacular panoramic views over the city.
The Docks, located on the ground floor of the hotel, is inspired by Antwerp’s port heritage, with an immersive décor including frescoes of the port and docks. With up to 600 seats in theatre-style seating, this versatile space is ideal for local and international events. It is equipped with the latest technology, including an 8-metre screen and plug-and-play systems, allowing it to be fully customised to the company’s visual identity.
The colour blue, ubiquitous in ‘The Docks’ and the hotel’s rooms, is reminiscent of the sky and underlines the hotel’s anchoring in the Antwerp skyline. There is also a new ‘coffee corner’ and ecological carpets have been added. Made entirely from recycled materials, these carpets illustrate the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. In collaboration with Composil, they have avoided the production of 1,000 square metres of carpet, reducing CO2 emissions by 10,000 kilograms.
The reopening of ‘The Docks’ positions Crowne Plaza Antwerp as a leader in meeting and event venues in Antwerp, combining modern design, technological innovation and commitment to the environment. Whether for international conferences or local events, this redesigned space is ready to offer a unique experience to all its visitors.
