On Tuesday 7 February, the red carpet was rolled out at Einstein, the event hall of Technopolis, for the 9th edition of the Factory of the Future Awards.
Easily accessible and quite appropriate
Several hundred representatives of innovative manufacturing companies and sectors from all corners of Flanders were present at the event. They witnessed how Altachem, Pomuni Frozen, Barry Callebaut, VCST and Sanofi won this year’s coveted “Factory of the Future” label.
It is of course no coincidence that the organisers chose Technopolis as the venue to showcase Flanders’ most progressive manufacturing companies.
“Events like the Factory of the Future Awards simply belong in Technopolis. Not only does Technopolis breathe science and technology, it does everything to ensure the future of innovative and sustainable companies by encouraging future generations to get involved with STEM later on.” – Ester Blockx, Marketing & Sales Director Technopolis
Technopolis’ location, just outside the centre of Mechelen at the E19 motorway exit, is also a huge asset. So is the free parking.
This is all you get at Technopolis
From the stylish interior to the atmospheric lighting and the excellent catering: no aspect of this exclusive event was left to chance. Even the presentation was taken care of: the honour went to Technopolis vlogger Emiel Dehouwer. In preparation, he even went behind the scenes of the winning companies with fellow vlogger Zanne.
The Factory of the Future Awards are an initiative of Agoria & Sirris and the industry federations essenscia (chemicals and life sciences), Fedustria (textiles, wood and furniture) and Fevia Vlaanderen (food), in collaboration with innovation clusters Catalisti, Centexbel, Wood.be and Flanders’ FOOD.
