The Soudal Open is a new international golf tournament organized at the Rinkven International Golf Club in Schilde (Antwerp). This prestigious four-day tournament is the place to be for golf lovers and entrepreneurs. Organiser Golazo called on Veldeman for the high-quality VIP accommodation.
Veldeman built a multi-purpose tent measuring 20m by 40m and an aluminium hall – with a logo – measuring 10m by 45m, which provided the VIP guests with a perfect view of the 18th hole. The marquee was built on a layer substructure to bridge the height differences of the terrain. In order to have a sufficiently large covered terrace for the VIPs, the long side of the marquee was placed 5 m inwards. A few aluminum halls and pagoda tents served as reception area, catering area and logistics zone.
The first edition of the Soudal Open was an immediate success, with 4 days of top golf, 18,000 visitors including 5,000 VIPs, 30 greenkeepers and more than 800 volunteers and staff.
