Yesterday, more than 30 partners of congress agency Meet in Mechelen were guests at cinema Lumière.
Each partner was given four minutes to introduce themselves to their colleagues. A kind of elevator pitch as it were. That way everyone can get to know each other. Everyone can find out who does what and whether there might be a win-win situation.
The approach of Meet in Mechelen is simple and straightforward. Provide a networking opportunity and possible cross-pollination. A hotelier is often asked for a good restaurant nearby. A meeting venue can then put the client in touch with a team-building or hotel provider…
After a similar initiative was organised in January for (potential) clients of Meet in Mechelen, it became clear that the partners of the conference agency also felt the need to get to know each other (better).
“This inspiration day illustrates the commitment and entrepreneurial spirit we share between the city and our hospitality partners. Mechelen is a thriving tourist destination and distinguishes itself through a qualitative and sustainable tourism policy in which all partners work strongly together,” says alderman for tourism Björn Siffer.
The Meet in Mechelen convention bureau team is convinced that new collaborations will emerge among the partners that will strengthen the entire sector.
