On Monday, October 14, 2024, the 5-star superior hotel resort La Butte aux Bois celebrated its 100th anniversary with an exclusive gala to benefit Make-A-Wish Belgium-Flanders. This special event marked one of the highlights of a year of festivities in honor of the anniversary, which dates back to the establishment of the domain in 1924 as the noble country residence of Knight Lagasse De Locht.
Make-A-Wish Foundation
In honor of this historic anniversary year, La Butte aux Bois is continuing to organize a series of special actions, packages and festivities until the end of 2024. The gala raised a magnificent € 12,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the nonprofit organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
Culinary spectacle
Chefs Ralf Berendsen (**) and Pieter Beurskens took guests on a 5-star Michelin culinary jour- ney through the history of La Butte aux Bois, with the menu being created in collaboration with Koen Somers of De Kristalijn (*), Timo Reichelt of Au Coin Des Bons Enfants (*) and Ro- bert Levels of Château Neercanne (*). Their unique creations made for an evening full of tasty surprises and culinary delights.

La Butte aux Bois has gone through a remarkable transformation over the years from a noble country residence in 1924 to a 5-star superior hotelresort internationally recognized for its sop- histication, comfort and service.
Today, it has grown into a magnificent estate with 60 hotel rooms and suites spread across the Manoir, the Villa and La Forêt, the prestigious Shiseido Institute, the two-Michelin-starred Ralf Berendsen restaurant and an atmospheric bistro.
