In front of an enthusiastic audience, including many Flemish celebrities and prominent figures, Grand Show Folie Royale had its world premiere on 12 July.
No expense was spared to transform the Grand Casino Knokke into a unique setting for a worldly spectacle, with a leading role for the historic chandelier and a striking DJ booth. With live music and a live act, the tone is immediately set. What awaits the audience in the hall is a dazzling show full of highlights, artistic interludes and medleys of the big stars who have been on stage in Knokke-Heist over the past decades. In the process, the voices of Piek Van der Kaaden, Len Neefs, Charlotte Campion, Barbara Verbergt and Maarten Cox shine through. Thanks to an impressive LED wall of more than a hundred square metres, the spectators are drawn into the spectacle. The breathtaking international acts and colourful costumes add to the unique atmosphere’.
The reactions are laudatory. Mayor Jan Morbée glowed with pride afterwards: ‘It is a unique spectacle – myself and the other attendees experienced an unforgettable evening.
