OKU Ibiza: relaxed enjoyment of the island vibe!

Ibiza remains a popular destination for Belgians, and that’s no secret to entrepreneur Mark Coucke. He is a 50% shareholder in the new hotel chain OKU Hotels with a branch on the island. Meanwhile, we are already working for some of his Belgian venues, so a visit to OKU Ibiza was a must.

Ibiza has a vibe that you can only experience by being there yourself. At OKU Ibiza, however, you immediately find yourself in the right atmosphere, although in terms of design they do break with the traditional Ibiza style through their own elegant dark brown wood tones.

Stylish Welcome

Upon arrival at the hotel, valet parking attendants are ready to park your car – electric charging is available, of course – and take your luggage. Stepping inside OKU Ibiza guarantees to be immediately immersed in that proper island atmosphere. As expected, the check-in went very smoothly, and the front office manager informed me that I was upgraded to a junior suite. These kinds of messages just put me in a great mood!

The suite overlooked the beautiful pool, and these stylish brown wood tones continue in the rooms as well. The equipment of the suite met my expectations, including the quality toiletries present in the bathroom.

OKU Restaurant Ibiza

I had also booked a table at the hotel’s restaurant that evening. OKU Restaurant Ibiza therefore invites you to discover its Japanese fusion cuisine. Kitchen boss is Dutch chef Mark Vaessen. Those who enter the resto find themselves in an elegant space. At the table, we were served an impressive menu full of tasty dishes with Asian and South American touches. That evening we opted for a walk through the menu. As a result, we were served excellent food in a beautiful setting, in short, cozy enjoyment of all kinds of goodies that were meant to be shared. By the way, the wine list is also extraordinary. I selected a white Albariño. Don’t worry, the sommelier provides you with all the expert info on the wine of your choice.

My Conclusion?

OKU is a high-class hotel, albeit in a higher price range, but you get more than value for your money. I ended my stay with a very sumptuous breakfast the next morning. I can’t wait to return. – Wood Approved!
