Unique pop-up of Michelin-starred restaurant Maison du Bœuf at The Hotel
The Hotel is reviving the legendary Maison du Bœuf, a Michelin-starred restaurant, with a unique pop-up. From 16 September to 12 October, immerse yourself in the culinary world of the 1970s with the immersive ‘Maison du Bœuf Experience’.
A gastronomic journey through time
Located in the heart of The Hotel, next to Egmond Park, restaurant The Iris will host this exclusive event. Inspired by the heritage of the Maison du Bœuf, this pop-up will pay homage to the hotel’s gastronomic history, particularly through an iconic Molteni oven from the 1970s, recently restored.
The Maison du Bœuf experience
For one month, restaurant The Iris creates the atmosphere and typical dishes of Maison du Bœuf. Enjoy dishes like the famous ‘Tartare de la Maison du Bœuf’, roast sea bass or sirloin steak, served in a setting reminiscent of the great restaurants of the 1970s. This unique experience is a true tribute to the chefs who shaped the hotel’s culinary identity.
Chefs in the spotlight
Michel Theurel: Originally from Burgundy, Michel Theurel was a former finalist for Meilleur Ouvrier de France. He led the Maison du Bœuf to its glory in 1967 and worked with famous chefs such as Pierre Gagnaire and the Troisgros brothers. Under his leadership, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 1992.
Peter Deltenre: The Hotel’s current head chef, Peter Deltenre, brings sustained Mediterranean cuisine to the table. With a diverse background including butchery and patisserie, he prioritises experience and sharing through healthy and sustainable food choices.
Thierry Baudour: A mainstay in the hotel’s kitchen for more than 35 years, Thierry Baudour embodies the link between the old and the new guard. Trained at the Orchies hotel school, he brings exceptional technical expertise and rigour to the table.
