Music brings people together and so does John&Jane as a production partner. It was therefore a conscious choice to support the charity and help fight loneliness with a Stronger Together concert for the benefit of The Warmest Week. It soon became clear that Ruiselede is very keen on this action. Indeed, this unique concert was completely sold out.
With loneliness as the central theme, John&Jane will help the good cause. The team from Ruiselede will be giving Astrid Stockman a stage in their own congregation on 20 December, accompanied by Ella Michiels and with the special acoustics of the completely sold-out church as a golden edge.
‘If we can support charity by doing what we do well, we don’t hesitate,’ explains managing partner Katrien Vermeire of John&Jane. ‘Every project we do brings people together for a unique experience. Sincere human connection is, after all, the best remedy against loneliness.’ The Together Stronger concert thus fights loneliness on 2 fronts at the same time: by raising money and by bringing people together. ‘This is necessary,’ Katrien stresses. ‘After all, the statistics are sobering: 1 in 2 Flemish people sometimes feel lonely. That’s a lot. Too many.’
Compelling music and warm stories
On 20 December, Ruiselede church will be the special setting for this concert. Astrid Stockman will perform there with her impressive soprano voice a mix of classics and contemporary hits that fit the theme. Ella Michiels in turn will talk the evening through. Together, these ladies make it a beautiful story. Katrien: ‘They both know how to convey emotion like no other. That also fits in perfectly with our professional activities. We want to touch people again and again. Doing this together and making a positive impact is right up our street. Something that is clearly supported by the warm hearts of the people of Ruiselede. After all, the concert sold out very quickly.’
John&Jane can count on its loyal partners to help keep the organisation on track. Through various sponsorship formulas and collaborations, they help shape the Samen Sterker concert. ‘Private individuals can also contribute by buying a ticket for the concert or a pack of our personalised matches,’ Katrien adds. All proceeds will go to The Warmest Week and to the fight against loneliness.
