Stanhope Hotel unveils extensive guest room renovations

The Stanhope Hotel in Brussels has started undergone an extensive renovation. The luxurious boutique hotel has kept many of the 19th century details, but has updated the interior, décor and facilities of guest rooms. Façade & inner garden pergola.

Stanhope Hotel offers 125 guestrooms, suites and luxury apartments, a fitness center and sauna, a restaurant “The Brighton”, a library bar and 9 conference rooms perfect for events private dinners and meetings.

One of Belgium’s best luxury hotels
January 2017 the Stanhope Hotel was named as one of the 10 best luxury hote ls in Belgium on TripAdvisor, and is labelled as “Travellers’ Choice” on the website.

Classic five-star hotel
The hotel façade was renovated in 2016, and this year an extensive refurbishment program began under the supervision of Olav Thon Gruppen’s head designer Sissel Berdal Haga and Ramsoeskar Interior Architect’s Trond Ramsoeskar.
“Stanhope Hotel is a classic five-star hotel in the heart of EU’s capital, Brussels. 31 of the exquisite guest rooms have been renovated to a high standard. Our goal was to combine a classic style with a modern touch. The exclusive Stanhope heritage has been kept, and we have added a new palette of coloursgivingthehotelacontemporarybrushofourtime.Thewallpapers areelegantandclassicwith regards to colours and patterns, and the headboards in the guest rooms are framed with dark mahogany. This contributes to keeping the traditional design,” says Sissel Berdal Haga and Trond Ramsoeskar.

The new interior and décor stays true to the Stanhope’s classic style, and fuses contemporary design with timeless details and the property’s heritage.
“The modern elements give a refined finish to the guest rooms. The walls now have a pale turquoise colour, the Italian curtains are lime-coloured with golden shimmer, and the furniture is elegant, bold with yellow, and indigo. The Stanhope Hotel first openedits doors in 1991. The hotel consistsof three connecting 19th-century town houses: The House of Presidents, the House of Lords and The House of Ambassadors, as well as a newer building: The House of Queens.
