Production house Sylvester proudly looks back on the successful organisation of the international diamond conference FACETS 2024 commissioned by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). The event brought together over 500 top figures from the diamond industry, including the newly elected president of Botswana, H.E. Duma Boko, and De Beers CEO Al Cook. Under the theme ‘Navigating a New Era’, FACETS 2024 provided a stage for in-depth discussions on the challenges and future of the global diamond industry.
In organising the event, Sylvester paid particular attention to the protocol and security surrounding the presence of H.E. Duma Boko, the president of Botswana. The team managed this with the necessary professionalism.
Day one of Facets 2024 combined substantive depth with sophisticated elegance, thanks to the interactive presentations, panel discussions and awards show. Of course, an inspiring speech by the president of Botswana could not be missed either. He had travelled to Antwerp especially for this event for his first post-election foreign mission, specifically focused on the diamond industry.
After the plenary sessions, the event continued with an exclusive gala dinner, embellished by live piano music, a performance by Helmut Lotti and a show by a mentalist. Meanwhile, Sylvester’s video team documented the whole event with an aftermovie and exclusive interviews with all sponsors. AWDC’s house style was carried through into every detail of the event – including the stage design and the hostesses’ clothing and blended beautifully with the décor of the beautiful Handelsbeurs.
‘When every detail is right and everything falls into place, you not only get a beautiful event, but also a nice feeling of satisfaction as an event producer,’ says An Moors, Project Director Events at Sylvester.
With FACETS 2024, Sylvester reaffirmed its reputation as an experienced partner for large-scale, strategic events with an international appeal.
