Against the backdrop of a beautiful park on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Domaine Barton, with its eponymous villa, an auditorium and four pavilions, offers an exceptional setting for any type of event.
A rich history
Step into history as you explore Domaine Barton. Originally called Lammermoor, the estate was bought in 1858 by Sir Robert Peel, former prime minister of Britain. Later, his daughter Alexandra and her husband, Daniel F.P. Barton, made it their home. Mrs Barton, affectionately called the ‘Queen of Geneva’, hosted dignitaries and diplomats, giving the villa a permanent place in diplomatic lore. Today, the villa bears witness to its legendary past and provides an elegant backdrop for your events.
