Guido from A-kwadraat came to WIMEC to ask if it would be possible to organise a staff party for people with disabilities in our hall.
The WIMEC team was immediately enthusiastic and also wanted to offer these guests an incredibly pleasant afternoon. We set to work with a checklist and looked closely at the possibilities of the hall:
No stairs or steps that could create a fall hazard
The room is accessible for wheelchair users
A quiet room is easy to create
Parking space for wheelchair users is available
Placing a toilet container with an adapted toilet is no problem
Extra attention to available first aid equipment and a first aid point
Having been on the shop floor with these people for years, Guido knows only too well what such a party means to them. Guido pulled out all the stops, for him his last staff party, to give the employees a great afternoon.
The guests enjoyed a delicious street food buffet. Consequently, there was plenty of feasting. Le moment suprême was the mystery guest. SWOOP played brilliantly. During this afternoon, people danced, sang, enjoyed, laughed and hugged.
With the many smiling faces and praising words, we can once again talk about a success.
