The 2021 edition of the Michelin Guide rewards Chef Christophe Schuffenecker for his simple and refined local cuisine.
The Chef is proud and happy to share this prestigious award with his entire kitchen and dining brigade: “It’s a pleasure to showcase an extraordinary terroir in a historical setting where I can express myself freely. »
After a successful stint in some of the greatest restaurants in Paris (Chez Faucher, Ledoyen, Trianon Palace), then in San Francisco (Aqua and Michael Mina), Colorado (Mirabelle) and Megève (Alpaga) where he was awarded his first star in 2014, Christophe Schuffenecker became in 2020 the Chef of La Salle à Manger at the newly renovated Château de Mazan.
With a brigade of 9 people, he brings style and simplicity to La Salle à Manger at Le Château de Mazan with a creative menu that highlights the rich terroir of the Vaucluse and the traditions of local producers. Combining technique and innovation, he offers a culinary experience deliciously inspired by the region with a true personality with pleasant textures, subtle flavors and well composed recipes.
