The PRG team supported 10 booths at the Brussels Motor Show

40 semi-trailers of AV-equipment and 11.000 man-hours at Brussels Motor Show

On January 13th, the 95th edition of the European Motor Show in Brussels opened its doors. The little brother of the bigger European Motor Shows in Paris, Frankfurt and Geneva welcomed a record number of visitors this year. More than 435.000 people came to discover the latest vehicles of the industry in the halls of Brussels Expo. The PRG team rolled up its sleeves to support 10 booths with rigging, lighting, sound and video.

Each vehicle was carefully illuminated, surrounded by atmospheric sound and (interactive) video screens. We are very proud of what the whole PRG team accomplished during the different phases of preparation, load-in, show days and load-out. Our crew handled this big production with the professionalism and flexibility our clients expect.

More than 350 tons of equipment have been processed by our people, which equals about 40 trailers filled with audiovisual equipment, coming from our European warehouses. The trailers were loaded with more than 550 hoists, +/- 5km of trusses, more than 2.800 lighting fixtures and about 200 sqm of LED screens! All technicians summed up, their man-hours added up to more than 11.000 for the support of the Brussels motor show. Hats off to our team!

At the entrance of the fair, Autoscout was one of the first to present its’ services to the visitors. The booth was built by Com2Com, who entrusted the audiovisual support to PRG.
Furthermore, we provided rigging, lighting, sound and video for Mercedes, Volkswagen and Seat, commissioned by our client Conceptexpo. Both Mercedes and Volkswagen being one of the bigger booths at the motor show, opted for an Unilumin 3.9mm LED screen, combined with LCD and touch screens spread across the booths.

B+S Exhibitions also chose PRG as technological partner for Toyota and Lexus. Next to rigging, lighting and sound, we built a circular ROE MC-12 LED screen with a diameter of 7m. The screen was suspended above the new Toyota C-HR.

Mattias Fredler from Revolve Concept was in charge of the technical design of the Volvo booth, for which PRG also provided AV technology according to their concept. We supplied a Unilumin 3.9mm LED screen of 11,25 sqm.

Iveco, by far the biggest stand in the hall dedicated to freight and commercial vehicles, worked with ZOOT and light design agency ID2Q for the realization of their booth. ZOOT and ID2Q also relied on PRG’s expertise to provide rigging, lighting, sound and video technology.

Last but not least, we worked with our client MPSA on the lighting of the vehicles for Peugeot and Citroën. In terms of video, we provided a 36 sqm LED screen in the middle of the Peugeot booth.

PRG is very grateful for the years of loyal cooperation with its’ clients. We are proud to be working with them in order to respond to the latest needs of modern motor shows and glad that we can deliver the right technological solutions, every time they need us. And now… on to the next challenge: Geneva!
